Chairman

TSC interests:

-Build more skateparks, build higher quality skateparks and fix or maintain existing skateparks,

-Encourage the growth of and particpation in skateboarding,

Community Involvement:

Migs Bartula Kickflip Dunbat

-Skateboarding since early 1990’s,

-Founding Member of the TSC (2013),

-Volunteer at Dunbat Skatepark (Scadding Court) for 11 years, ramp assembly, maintenance, as well as fundraising,

-Building wooden skateparks and skateboard obstacles since the late 1990’s,

-Participated in design and development consultations for various concrete skateparks.

Brian Hughes

-Encourage the growth of and particpation in skateboarding,

-Keeping the approach to skateboarding creative,

Community Involvement:

-Skateboarding since 1996,

-Founding Member of the TSC (2013),

-Member of the South Etobicoke Skateboarding Association, which led the community to build and design the Eighth St Skatepark.

David Paul

TSC interests:

-Entrepreneurship and Community/Youth Development,

-Continuing to develop the TSC,

-Ensuring that skateboard culture thrives in the City of Toronto through modern skateboard infrastructure, community engagement/development, and education.  Skateboarding has given me so much, I am returning the favor!

-Founding Member of the East York Skateboarding Team (1998),

-Participated in developing the East York Skatepark (2006),

-Recipient of “City of Toronto Youth Group of the Year” (2007) for engaging community taking ownership of their local skatepark (East York Skatepark),

-Recognized for 10 years of volunteer service by the City of Toronto (2008).

-Involved in developing skateparks and skateboarding related programs around the world from Toronto to Morocco,

-Interested in street skating and travelling the world incorporating foreign architecture into skatepark designs,

-Helped build, and is now an employee at, the Skate Loft indoor skatepark in Toronto (since 2012).

-Engaging youth to take ownership of their local skatepark,

-Continuing to develop the TSC,

-Creating safe places for skateboarders,

-Educating community members & local leaders about skateboarding.

-Organized local community to develop the East York Skatepark (2006),
